Other Places of Note

Two elven cities reside within the forest. One is close to the border of the AAC, near Itho, and the other is on the border of Harmon. The one nearest to the AAC is Thel’Kuros (the Obsidian Fortress) and is home to great Elven mages who worship Sonne. The one nearest to Harmon is Maloth’enlois (The Green Fortress), and very little is known about them. Attempts to find the city have all failed and wind up in the searchers winding up turned around heading back towards Harmon. Other smaller nations exist within the great wood of all manner of fairy creatures; a nation of Centaurs is known to exist near Kron for instance. Attempts to map the forest, though, have all failed as the forest seems to change once mapped.

Certain groups exist within the known world. Two cults exist that worship the fallen lords of Law and Chaos known as the cult of law and the cult of chaos. The quite unimaginative naming of these cults lead people to believe they originated within Harmon, but this hasn’t been proven. A mysterious group known as “The Guild” exist within all the areas of the known world, and their practices extend into all measure of crime. Attempts to destroy the Guild have met in destruction of specific cells, but within weeks after their annihilation the crime continues and are even harder to locate.

The exploration Guild have found other continents in the world, but only one has been found to has been found to have a civilization by the name of Bullroth (south west of the known world). Trade pacts with this nation have been opened, but actual entry to the city is limited. Goods are removed from the boat and sold and gold is returned to the ship to be sent back to the AAC. Another nation has found cities, but every time they actually enter the city it is found recently abandoned. Mages who have ventured into this land, called Vale (vah-ley) (south west of the known world) by the Explorer’s Guild, find their ability to detect anything hampered by some unknown force. No plans to colonize have been made just yet.
